In Brief:
2012 will be pivotal for Australian food policy - with the National Food Strategy due for release. It is also appropriately the year of the farmer.
3 Pillars Network will be convening the 2nd Annual Sustainable Food Summit in Sydney from 2-4 April. The Summit will seek to:
- Explore the issues and policy discussion thus far - including an update on the National Food Plan Strategy.
- Showcase some of the transformational discussions and projects already happening in Australia and overseas
- Identify business model shifts, potential production opportunities and solutions, environmental shapers and what kinds of R&D, policy and technology might enable a move to a resilient, sustainable food system for Australia.
